These Terms of Service govern your use of snappytappy.com, your Base Camp membership and any products, digital content or services supplied by Snappytappy.
Please read these Terms carefully before purchasing a membership or other product.
By purchasing Base Camp or another paid product from Snappytappy, you agree to these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Snappytappy is operated by David Taplin, trading as Snappytappy, a sole trader based in England.

Throughout these Terms, “Snappytappy”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to David Taplin trading as Snappytappy.
“You” and “your” refer to the person using the website, purchasing a product or holding a Base Camp membership.
Snappytappy is a travel, photography and adventure platform based around first-hand journeys and experiences.
Some content is publicly available and some is available only to Base Camp members.
Base Camp is Snappytappy's paid membership.
The core membership currently includes:
Member material may include downloadable itineraries, PDFs, guides, maps, photographs and other digital content.
The precise subject matter and format of each monthly dispatch will vary.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, membership does not guarantee a particular destination, itinerary, download, discount, quantity of additional material or type of content in any particular month.
Base Camp is normally available on two recurring membership plans:
Monthly membership — £10 per month
or
Annual membership — £100 per year
The applicable price and billing frequency will be clearly displayed before you complete your purchase.
The first 50 people to become paying Base Camp members may join at a special Founding Circle Member rate of:
£5 per month for a monthly membership
or
£50 per year for an annual membership.
This represents 50% off the standard Base Camp membership price.
A Founding Circle Member will retain their Founding Circle Member rate for as long as their Base Camp membership remains continuously active.
If a Founding Circle Member cancels their membership and subsequently chooses to rejoin Base Camp, they will no longer be entitled to the Founding Circle Member rate and will be charged the membership price available at the time they rejoin, unless we expressly agree otherwise.
The Founding Circle Member rate is personal to the original member and cannot be transferred, sold or assigned to another person or account.
If a Founding Circle Member's subscription is temporarily interrupted because of a failed payment or payment-card issue, we may allow a reasonable period for the payment details to be corrected without automatically removing Founding Circle Member status.
Once all 50 Founding Circle Member places have been allocated, new members will pay the standard Base Camp price applicable at the time they subscribe.
Snappytappy is not currently VAT registered and VAT is therefore not currently added to these membership prices.
If our tax status or applicable tax requirements change, we may make any changes necessary to comply with the law.
Base Camp automatically renews until cancelled.
If you choose a monthly membership, your subscription will normally renew each month and the applicable membership fee will be charged automatically.
If you choose an annual membership, your subscription will normally renew each year and the applicable membership fee will be charged automatically.
By subscribing, you authorise our payment provider to collect the recurring membership payment from your selected payment method until you cancel.
Your renewal date will normally correspond with the date on which your paid membership began.
Information about the recurring nature of the membership, price and renewal frequency will also be presented during the purchase process.
Membership payments are administered through Outseta and processed securely by Stripe.
Stripe handles the underlying payment transaction and payment-card information.
Snappytappy does not directly store your complete debit or credit card details.
Outseta is used to administer your membership, subscription status and account.
You must provide valid payment information and be authorised to use the payment method provided.
You may cancel Base Camp at any time.
There is no cancellation fee.

If you contact us to cancel, please use the email address associated with your membership so that we can identify your account.
Cancellation stops your subscription from renewing again.
If you cancel a monthly membership, you will normally retain access to Base Camp until the end of the monthly period you have already paid for.
Your membership will then expire and you will not be charged for another month.
If you cancel an annual membership, you will normally retain access until the end of the annual period you have already paid for.
Your membership will then expire and you will not be charged for another year.
Cancelling does not normally terminate access immediately unless you specifically request this or circumstances require immediate termination.
For Founding Circle Members, cancellation also ends the Founding Circle Member price protection. If you subsequently rejoin Base Camp, the membership price available at the time you rejoin will apply.
Base Camp provides access to digital services and may include digital content which can be accessed or downloaded immediately after purchase.
UK consumer law may provide cancellation rights for certain online purchases.
Where you ask us to begin supplying digital content during a statutory cancellation period, we may ask you during checkout to:
Where legally required, this consent and acknowledgement will be obtained separately as part of the purchase process.
Nothing in these Terms removes any cancellation right that you are legally entitled to exercise.
Except where required by law or expressly agreed by us, membership payments are non-refundable once the relevant paid membership period has begun.
Cancelling your membership normally stops the next renewal rather than refunding the period you have already purchased.

This does not affect any statutory refund, cancellation or other consumer rights you may have.
Where the law requires us to provide a refund, we will do so.
We may also choose to provide a full or partial refund in exceptional circumstances at our discretion. Doing so on one occasion does not create an entitlement to a refund in other circumstances.
Your Base Camp membership gives you access to content made available to you during your active membership.
Membership does not automatically provide access to the complete archive of Base Camp material published before you joined.
Content produced or made available after your membership begins may remain accessible while your membership is active, subject to the availability and structure of the service.
We may occasionally replace, update, correct or withdraw material where reasonably necessary.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, downloads are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only.
Purchasing membership does not transfer ownership or copyright in those materials to you.
Base Camp memberships are for one individual person and one account.
You must not:
You are responsible for keeping your password and login credentials secure.
Please contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
We may suspend access where we reasonably believe an account is being shared, compromised or materially misused.
The photographs, drone imagery, videos, written content, travel journals, guides, itineraries, maps, graphics, downloadable materials, branding, website content and other original material made available through Snappytappy are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property rights.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, those rights belong to David Taplin trading as Snappytappy or are used with permission from the relevant rights holder.
Your membership gives you permission to access and use the relevant content for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
It does not transfer ownership of the content to you.
Without our prior written permission, you must not:
Reasonable personal use — such as saving an itinerary to plan your own journey — is permitted.
Snappytappy is based substantially on personal travel experiences.
We make reasonable efforts to provide useful and accurate information, but travel changes constantly.
Information may become outdated because of changes to matters including:
You must carry out your own current checks before travelling, booking, purchasing or relying upon information contained on Snappytappy.
Official government information and advice should be checked where relevant.
Our travel content describes our own experiences, opinions and observations.
Your experience may be different.
The inclusion of a destination, route, accommodation provider, activity or experience on Snappytappy is not a guarantee that you will have the same experience or outcome.
You remain responsible for deciding whether a destination, journey, route or activity is appropriate for you.
Nothing on Snappytappy transfers responsibility for your personal travel decisions to us.
Travel and adventure activities involve inherent risks.
Snappytappy content may feature activities including:
Our experience of completing an activity does not mean that the activity is safe or appropriate for you.
Conditions can change and individual ability, health, fitness, experience and equipment requirements vary.
You are responsible for assessing risks, obtaining appropriate advice, using qualified guides where appropriate, carrying suitable equipment and following current local and official safety guidance.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability where it would be unlawful for us to do so.
Drone rules vary substantially between countries, regions and individual locations and can change at short notice.
Any information about where or how we flew a drone reflects the circumstances and regulations applicable to our own experience at the relevant time.
Before flying a drone, you are responsible for checking:
The fact that drone photography appears on Snappytappy does not mean that flying a drone at that location is currently permitted.
Snappytappy may recommend, mention or link to third-party businesses such as:
We may occasionally be able to provide members with an offer, benefit or discount from a third-party provider.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Snappytappy does not make or fulfil travel bookings on your behalf.
If you book or purchase from a third party, your contract is with that provider and will be subject to its own terms and conditions.
We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, availability, pricing, cancellation policies or performance of independent third-party providers.
This does not exclude any responsibility that the law does not permit us to exclude.
Some Snappytappy content may in future contain affiliate links or other commercial relationships.
If you follow an affiliate link and subsequently make a purchase, Snappytappy may receive a commission.
This does not necessarily increase the price you pay.
Where required, affiliate, sponsored or other relevant commercial relationships will be identified.
The presence of an affiliate relationship does not alter your responsibility to determine whether a product or service is suitable for you.
Base Camp may occasionally provide access to discounts or offers from third-party companies.
Unless a discount is expressly described as a guaranteed element of your membership, the availability of individual discounts is not guaranteed.

We are not responsible for a third party's decision to change or withdraw an offer.
Snappytappy may offer products outside Base Camp, including:
The price, delivery arrangements, cancellation rights, returns policy and any product-specific conditions applicable to those purchases will be displayed or provided as appropriate when those products become available.
Where specific product terms conflict with these general Terms, the specific terms applicable to that product will take precedence in relation to that purchase.
Your statutory consumer rights will continue to apply.
We may change the standard price of Base Camp in the future.
A change will not retrospectively alter the price of a membership period you have already paid for.
If we intend to change the recurring price applicable to an existing member, we will provide appropriate advance notice and any information required by applicable law.
You will have the opportunity to cancel your membership before a new recurring price takes effect.
The Founding Circle Member rate is different from the standard Base Camp price.
If you secured one of the first 50 Founding Circle Member places at £5 per month or £50 per year, that rate will remain available to you for as long as your Base Camp membership remains continuously active, subject to these Terms.
General increases to the standard Base Camp membership price will therefore not increase an active Founding Circle Member's £5 monthly or £50 annual membership rate.
This price protection ends if the Founding Circle Member cancels their membership and subsequently rejoins.
If changes in law or taxation require us to collect or add a tax or other mandatory charge, this may be applied where legally required notwithstanding the Founding Circle Member price protection.
Snappytappy is an evolving service.
We may reasonably change:
We will not use this right to remove your statutory rights or make an unfair material change to the service you have purchased.
If a significant adverse change materially affects an active paid membership, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected members and provide any remedy required by law.
We hope Base Camp will continue for the long term, but we reserve the right to discontinue the membership service.
Where reasonably practicable, we will aim to provide active members with at least 30 days' notice before permanently closing Base Camp.
We will stop future renewals from being collected.
If Base Camp closes before the end of a membership period you have already paid for and we are unable to continue providing the paid service for the remainder of that period, we will provide an appropriate pro-rata refund for the paid period we are unable to provide, where applicable.
This does not affect any additional rights you may have under consumer law.
If a recurring payment fails, our billing systems may retry the payment and we may contact you to update your payment details.
Your membership may be placed into a past-due or restricted state while payment remains outstanding.
If payment cannot be collected within a reasonable period, we may cancel or suspend the membership.
We will not impose a separate cancellation penalty merely because you decide not to renew.
Where a Founding Circle Member experiences a temporary payment failure, we may allow a reasonable opportunity to correct the payment issue before their Founding Circle Member status is lost. This is intended to distinguish an accidental payment failure from a member deliberately cancelling their subscription.
We may suspend or terminate a membership where we reasonably believe:
Where appropriate, we will give you an opportunity to resolve the issue before permanently terminating the account.
This does not affect any rights or remedies already available to either party.
We aim to keep Snappytappy and Base Camp available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access at all times.
Temporary interruption may occur because of:
We will take reasonable steps to restore the service.
Temporary interruptions do not automatically entitle you to a refund, although this does not affect remedies available to you where the service fails to meet your statutory rights.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
This includes liability which cannot legally be excluded for:
We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our failure to comply with these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill, subject to applicable law.
We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable when you entered into the relevant contract.
Snappytappy is intended for personal consumer use. We are not responsible for business losses arising from your use of the service where the law permits this limitation.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
This explains how Snappytappy and providers including Outseta, Stripe, Google and IONOS may process information associated with your use of the website and membership service.
We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary to reflect changes to:
The latest version will be published on this page with its updated date.
If a material change affects an existing paid membership, we will provide reasonable notice where required and will not use this provision to retrospectively remove statutory rights.
Any general amendment to these Terms will not, by itself, remove the Founding Circle Member price protection expressly provided in Sections 4 and 22 while the qualifying membership remains continuously active.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as modified or removed to the minimum extent necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
If we delay enforcing a provision of these Terms, that does not mean we have waived our right to enforce it later.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory consumer protections available to you under applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms prevents you from exercising any right to bring proceedings in a court available to you under applicable consumer law.
Snappytappy's general website content may be accessed by people under 18.
If you are under 18, you should only purchase a paid Base Camp membership with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
By purchasing a membership, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into the transaction or that the purchase is being made with the appropriate involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
